Textile and Fashion - Textile Expo UzbekistanTextile Expo Uzbekistan International exhibition is a part of a series of specialized textile and fashion exhibitions held by I.T.E. Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd. and its partners in Europe and the CIS countries.
At present Textile Expo Uzbekistan is the only specialized trade exhibition for textiles and fashion in Uzbekistan with international professional participants and visitors. The exhibition is designed for: • Foreign companies – producers and traders of textile products, garments and apparel, fashion accessories, willing to enter and strengthen their position in the market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia; • Enterprises of the Central Asian region, including Uzbekistan, intending to display their best products and discover new export markets. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO PARTICIPATE IN TEXTILE EXPO UZBEKISTAN? The Republic of Uzbekistan occupies vast territories in the very middle of the Central Asia, and in the "heart" of the Great Silk Road. The population of Central Asia exceeds 57 mln., over 27 mln. of which reside in Uzbekistan, the biggest consumer market in the region. Being the country with its own substantial raw cotton stocks, Uzbekistan launches dozens of joint projects in spinning, knitting and garment manufacturing annually. Numerous quantitative and qualitative changes, according to the expert evaluations, have recently taken place in the textile industry of Uzbekistan. Economic performance of the industry has seen a significant increase in the volume of domestic processing of cotton fibre, exports, production rates and attracted foreign investments. Thus in 2008 comparing to 2007 the volume of industrial production has grown by 20%, the volume of exports of the industry has increased up to USD 375 mln. Nevertheless, local producers cannot satisfy the essential needs of the market and population, especially in the part of textile products and their components, items of fashion and design, not produced domestically. Special demand is observed for high quality fabrics, garments and fashion accessories, lingerie and underwear, home textiles and other textile products, not produced domestically, in terms of increasing population and its improving and diversifying preferences. According to the experts’ opinion, Textile Expo Uzbekistan is a showcase of the latest developments and achievements in the field of textile manufacturing and a meeting place for buyers and sellers of the textile industry from Uzbekistan, Central Asian region and other countries of the world. It provides companies with the best opportunity to enter successfully one of the most promising markets with dynamically developing textile industry and recognized regional textile and fashion development center.
