WHY UZBEKISTAN

• The Republic of Uzbekistan is the country with population of 25 million and the area of 447, 000 sq.km. It borders with such Central Asian countries as Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic

• The foreign trade of Uzbekistan is carried out with more than 140 world countries.

• From 1 June 2004 till 31 December 2012 commercial banks and leasing companies are exempted from customs duties for imported medical equipment and instrumentation, purchased for the purpose of their subsequent transfer to National specialized medical centres on a basis of leasing agreements.

• Within this period the Centres do not have to pay VAT and other customs fees for medicaments and medical products, imported for their own needs, including orthopaedic and consumable materials. The released funds will be spent for Centres’ development and equipping.

• There are 8322 treatment-and-prophylactics medical organisations in Uzbekistan including 1018 hospitals, 3825 medical out-patient polyclinic organisations, 3479 rural medical and out-patient organisations.

• There are over 3000 private dental clinics, include over 700 large private dental clinics in Uzbekistan, and also about 1000 private orthopaedic dental, over 1000 therapeutic dental departments under medical and prophylactic state institutions. Under privatization program of Uzbekistan more than 250 largest state dental clinics were privatized. Over 750 dentists have got the certificates for private practice within two years.
