Making Use of Ultrasound in DiagnosticsIn the next four years the number of ultrasound diagnostic devices used in clinics of Uzbekistan will increase at least twice. It will be achieved through outfitting the regional medical associations, regional diversified and diagnostics centers, and other medical establishments. All types of ultrasound devices are available in the country.Sharif Haitov, Head physician of Bukhoro regional center of medical diagnostics, ultrasound diagnostics specialist: Handheld devices can be used effectively for diagnostics of an immobile patient, and in cases when doctors from district and regional medical institutions go to remote rural medical stations to conduct mass screening of the population. Basically, such devices are available to emergency medical aid, obstetric and maternal and children healthcare. Medium and high class devices are widely used in steady-state conditions. But today, when reequipping health facilities the preference goes to high class devices, because they have the Doppler function which allows doctors to diagnose diseases of pulsating organs - heart and blood vessels. Incidentally, today, specialists of our center are working with high class devices. Grasping of recently appeared expert class devices became a new direction of development ultrasound diagnostic service. These installations provide 3d and 4d imaging of organs. The quality of those is close to the TV. So far, there are only few such installation in the country, but soon there will be more. In particular, by the end of the year it is planned to install such devices in the National Mother and Child Screening Center. ut.uz |
