MiningWorld Uzbekistan - 5 years of success! Welcome to the 5th Anniversary Uzbek International Exhibition on
supplying, servicing and operating in the mining and processing of metals and minerals - MiningWorld Uzbekistan 2010.
MiningWorld Uzbekistan 2010 is the most important event in Uzbekistan, gathering professionals of mining industry and representing full spectrum of production and services for mining industry.
The rich natural resources of Uzbekistan and industry potential:
- About 3000 fields and promising deposits of minerals have been identified in Uzbekistan. About 1000 fields have been explored – including oil; gas and condensate; precious, non-ferrous, ferrous and radioactive metals; coal; mining ore and mining chemical feedstock; construction materials for various purposes; and fresh and mineral underground waters.
- Internationally, Uzbekistan ranks 4th for gold reserves and 7th for gold production; 7-8th for uranium reserves and 4th for uranium production; and 10th for copper reserves.
- Under a programme to expand the localised production of machine building equipment, machinery and units for small businesses, and mini-technologies for processing agricultural and mineral raw materials for 2009-2012, over 500 projects will be implemented by major Uzbek businesses, including Uzbekneftegaz, Navoi MMC, Almalyk MMC, Uzbek Metallurgical Plant and others.
