Bricks for New Constructions

In accordance with the resolution of Uzbekistan’s President “On additional measures to stimulate the production and improve the quality of walling materials,” it is projected to upgrade 32 enterprises manufacturing burnt brick and build 20 new ones in Samarqand region by 2012. Meanwhile, 11 brickyards started operation last year.

The large-scale construction work taking place of late in rural areas, as well as dwelling construction designed in tune with the times has considerably increased the demand in building materials.

It is important that our country pays much attention to satisfy this demand by producing high quality and reasonably priced production relevant to the geographical position and climatic conditions in the region. In particular, in accordance with the abovementioned resolution by the head of the state, enterprises of this type are granted some tax privileges which significantly expanded their capacity.

These privileges favored the production increase in the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Uzbek Hinan Industry in Pastdarghom district.
“Thanks to the up-to-date technologies we produced 15 million burnt bricks last year and with that we exceeded the result of 2008 by 2.5 times,” says Golib Omonov, deputy director of the joint venture. “Soon we are going to launch a new line which will increase production capacity twice.”
