The 6th Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition – CAITME 2010CAITME is the largest International textile machinery exhibition in Central Asia and the one of a kind in Uzbekistan.

WHY THE SHOW IS IMPORTANT FOR PRODUCERS OF MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGIES?
The Uzbek light industry, particularly, textile sector is being considered one of the most strategic and dynamically developing sectors of local economy.
Numerous quantitative and qualitative changes, according to the expert evaluations, have recently taken place in the textile industry of Uzbekistan. Economic performance of the industry has seen a significant increase in the volume of domestic processing of cotton fibre, exports, production rates and attracted foreign investments. Thus in 2008 comparing to 2007 the volume of industrial production has grown by 20%, the volume of exports of the industry has increased up to USD 375 mln.
In line with the government approved State Program on Attraction of Investments into the Textile Industry, allowing to attract significant foreign investments and most up-to-date technologies, conduct re-equipment and modernization of existing production facilities, out of 66 projects 60 projects were already implemented and production process was launched. Total amount of foreign investments, attracted for these projects makes over USD 345 mln, whereas the financing, equipment supplies, balancing and commissioning were initiated for the rest of them.
Throughout UzbekEngilSanoat’s (Uzbek Textile association’s) structure, total amount of foreign investments attracted in 2008 made USD 102.6 mln. 23 new large joint ventures and foreign enterprises started to operate and export their products to the foreign markets. Among them are 10 enterprises, specializing in manufacturing finished products.
Attractiveness of the industry for foreign investors is secured by availability of steady and vast stocks of raw materials, specifically, high quality cotton fibre, low costs for energy resources, qualified and relatively inexpensive labour resources, advanced network of communications, developed system of banking and legal services, availability of vast sales markets of textile products and apparel.
At the same time with the purpose of further development of the textile industry it is expected to conduct a modernization and reconstruction of all obsolete enterprises and to establish new ones with the complete cycle of production, up to finished goods with high added value. Thus, according to the year’s estimates another 19 enterprises with foreign capital will start to operate in 2009.
All these factors will result in the continuous surge of demand for modern high quality equipment and technologies of world’s best manufacturers.
